I’m Mary, the designer behind Lúrae Studio, a Melbourne interior design studio based in the inner west, specialising in renovations and new builds.

I design kitchens, bathrooms and complete interiors that are grounded first in how my clients actually live, not in whatever happens to be trending. A home doesn’t need to chase a style. It needs to still feel right in ten years.

From spatial planning and joinery through to fixtures, finishes, lighting and detailed documentation, I work through the important decisions before construction begins. The aim is to give clients clarity throughout the process, give builders clear information to work from, and reduce the rushed decisions and costly changes that can arise on site.

I work closely with homeowners, architects, building designers and builders because a project only really comes together when everyone’s pulling in the same direction. What matters most to me is that a home works well, feels like the people who live there, and is beautiful enough to stop you in the doorway.
